Lot 1,
Without Burlington
A big, scopey colt with plenty of substance and class who is maturing into his frame and as such is improving rapidly on the racetrack winning his two most recent starts over 1m4f in impressive fashion. He came highly recommended as a jumps prospect by his trainer Kevin Philippart De Foy as a scopey horse with a beautiful action, a long stride and plenty of stamina. He seems versatile as regards ground and having only managed one start as a two year-old last December, Without Burlington has progressed with each race this year and will continue to get better. Now rated 71, he is very much a young horse on the up with the physique to make a classy hurdler and still on a good handicap mark to run back on the Flat also.
His sire Without Parole is a son of top sire Frankel. He who won the Group-1 St. James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot and has made a promising start as a stallion, producing the likes of this season’s Group-1 winning two year-old Zavateri. Without Burlington is a half-brother to Group-3 winner Sea The Boss, from the family of several Group-winning Flat stayers and Grade-2 winning hurdler Mourad, so he seems to possess all the ingredients required to be an exciting dual-purpose prospect.
